Nier Automata Review: is Nier Automata Game worth Buying?

Nier Automata ReviewsIn this Nier Automata review, I’ll mainly be discussing the most relevant points that you need to know about the game – Nier Automata. Before I proceed, let me quickly mention that, at the time of this review, the Nier Automata game is only available on PS4 and Xbox One.

Nier Automata Review Overview

Nier Automata is a game created by Platinum Games and published by Square Enix. Both companies are known for putting a lot of hard work and commitment into delivering some of the best action titles out there. And the interesting thing here is that they do deliver some amazing results with it.

Coming back to Nier Automata, the game is set during a proxy war between machines and the remaining humans. Here you play the role of an android and her companion.

What you will do in the game is to try and find your way in the world, all while trying to complete missions and eliminate enemies. The Nier Automata comes with some nice RPG elements as well as action-based combat, which makes it similar to the first Nier game.

Despite the lackluster visual palette, the game world does look amazing and you will be quite impressed with the outstanding visuals delivered here. The nice thing about the game is that you always get to have a tremendous quality and value for the money. And the best part is that the gameplay is where the game shines.

The combat on its own is super impressive and it’s a pleasure to kill enemies here – lol. There are many types of attacks that you can try out, some of them being more destructive than others. And you are always the one to control how you approach everything, from simple attacks to the more destructive ones.

There are also weapon stories, not to mention you have spears, bracers, long swords and short swords. The best part about it is that your minion can also attack enemies, so you can easily have constant attacks and a unique gameplay opportunity that you will enjoy again and again.

Since this is also an RPG at its core, you will get to earn experience levels, increase your attack power, health and defense too.

An interesting thing that I’ll love to mention in this Nier Automata review is that the game offers you a distinct game perspective. Sometimes it transforms into a bullet hell game. Other times it will have unique platformer sections and so on. It definitely makes a lot of sense to include these in the game from a story standpoint. But then again, that also makes this unique and fun.

Nier Automata Review Conclusion

While Nier Automata doesn’t look visually stunning, it has a very good combat and it also features some amazing boss battles.

The gameplay is what shines in this game, and for a very good reason. It’s created by some of the masters of the genre, which is a good thing.

If you like the Platinum Games releases, you will love this one too. But even if you are a newcomer to this type of games, you will still be quite happy with it, so check it out!
